We clean wool the same way we clean any carpet: by looking at the fibre and the soiling first, then choosing the gentler option. Low-moisture dry cleaning is walk-on ready in about 1–2 hours and avoids over-wetting entirely; hot-water extraction goes deeper and is touch-dry in about 4–6 hours. We’ll tell you which one your carpet actually needs on the day.

Wool Carpet Cleaning FAQs
No. Wool is priced exactly the same as any other carpet of the same size. Some cleaners add a natural-fibre surcharge — we don’t.
Shrinkage comes from over-wetting, so the answer is to control the moisture rather than avoid cleaning. We either use low-moisture dry cleaning, which barely wets the carpet at all, or hot-water extraction with the moisture kept in check — and we tell you which one we’re using before we start.
It depends on the method. Low-moisture dry cleaning is usually walk-on ready in about 1–2 hours. Hot-water extraction is normally touch-dry in about 4–6 hours. We’ll give you a realistic time on the day.
We’ll tell you. A lot of carpet sold as wool is actually a wool blend, and some is synthetic made to look like wool. It doesn’t change the price — it just changes which method we use.
General sanitising and deodorising are included free with every job, along with treatment of common organic stains like coffee, wine and food. Pet urine odour treatment is charged separately — it’s a specialist enzyme process that takes extra time and product, so it isn’t part of the standard clean. We’ll quote it before we start, never after.
